Parecía que la pole position iba a ser para Jack Hawksworth (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports) pero en el final se la arrebato el piloto del equipo Andretti Autosport. Compañero de equipo de Muñoz, el joven Zach Veach clasificó tercero y por el momento es su mejor clasificación en la categoría. El cuarto puesto fue para Peter Dempsey, piloto del equipo Belardi Auto Racing.
El otro piloto colombiano, Gabby Chaves (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports), va a largar desde el quinto puesto.
