Por 34to año, la voz de Jim Nabors estará presente en las festividades previas a las “500 Millas de Indianapolis”, luego de ausentarse en 2012 por problemas de salud.
Nabors, actor de la serie de los años 60 “Gomer Pyle: USMC”, y quien apareció en varios episodios de “The Andy Griffith Show”, comenzó a cantar “Back Home Again in Indiana”, la canción más tradicional de este estado, en 1972; sólo en tres ocasiones (1985, 2007 y 2012) no se ha presentado a participar en el protocolo de la carrera, siendo la vez más reciente tras una cirugía de corazón.
El intérprete y ex comediante tiene 81 años, vive en Hawaii y la única vez que sale de ese estado es por esta carrera.
Las “500 Millas de Indianápolis” se corren el domingo 26 de mayo.
