Ya estamos listos para la segunda fecha de la temporada 2013 de la categoría más rápida del mundo, la IZOD IndyCar Series, y será este fin de semana en un circuito mixto muy conocido por todos los pilotos y es el famoso Barber Motorsports Park de Birmingham, que está en el estado de Alabama. La carrera será este domingo (7).
El autódromo alabameño es uno de los más nuevos que tiene los Estados Unidos y cuenta con 3.700 metros de longitud. Alan Wilson fue quien diseño el circuito, que cuenta con 17 curvas. Entre las curvas cinco y seis veremos más acción porque en esas curvas es mejor para superar a un piloto.
La primera carrera de la categoría fue en el año 2010 y Helio Castroneves (Penske Racing) fue el ganador. Las dos últimas carreras fueron para el compañero de equipo del brasileño, el australiano Will Power.
En la telonera, la Firestone Indy Lights, volvemos a tener nueve autos en pista. El segundo auto del equipo Team Moore Racing tiene nuevo piloto y es el brasileño Victor Carbone, ex Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. La carrera será el mismo día que corra la IZOD IndyCar Series, el domingo (7).
